They don't appear to pay any attention to settings in the Info.plist (since, by default the Info.plist for JBuilder.app doesn't even have a java dictionary). They are probably trying to load Java directly through the CurrentJDK symlink, but the Java frameworks themselves are trying to pay attention to the Java Preferences settings; hence things get confused.
