Hello,

I today upgraded my J2SE 5.0 Release 4 from Developer Preview 2 to Developer Preview 3, and it seemed to break JBuilder 2005. JBuilder would no longer start, freezing at the splash screen. A look at the Activity Monitor showed no CPU activity (about 1%) but also, interestingly, no Java virtual machine. As a guess, it looks like JBuilder 2005 was hanging, waiting for the JVM to start, or unable to find it.

Is anyone successfully using J2SE 5.0 R4 DP3 with JBuilder 2005? If so, does anyone have any idea of how I can get JBuilder working again?! I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, to no avail. I also tried downgrading J2SE to DP2, but this broke the Java installation altogether!
