I have had the same problem, and I have seen numerous references to this problem on this forum. The way I get around this problem (until it gets resolved properly) is to simple make sure if I pull up a 'quick fix' I make sure I either select an item in the dialog (with keyboard or mouse) *or* i cancel by hitting the ESC key. Do not simply click somewhere outside of the 'quick fix' window with the mouse to cancel the operation. If I fail to use the ESC to cancel, I will frequently have the symptoms you describe.

I do not have this problem as long as I operate in this way. I hope it works for you until this is resolved.
