Thanks for your suggestions (also Peter)! Actually I am not using any cellrenderer, and the boxes are not reloaded.
But I could find what made the difference between the combos that had the bug and the others. It's actually only happening on combo boxes with a scroll bar. When the content is too long to display within the list area and a scroll bar is automatically added. Clicking on the arrow within such a combo and closing it, then clicking on the arrow of another combo with scroll bar, then the list displayed is the one of the previous combo, until you scroll through the elements, in which case the correct elements names appear. It's kind of "cached" image of the previous combo that is displayed on the next one, until that screen area is refreshed by moving through the items in the next combo.
I hope it's clear enough. Any workaround?
Cheers!

Hi Mariano.
Is there any chance that you are using a custom cellrenderer in that combo and the renderer for some reason (static instance?) remembers data from a previous rendering?
Just closing my eyes and guessing here based on your info.
Can you publish a screen shot or something?

Hi,
I am facing a little problem on certain combo boxes within a pane. Some of them show data from another combo box when you open them, but then display the right values as you scroll the lines in the list. What's strange is that some of the boxes do not have this problem, while they are all created the same way, as far as I know.
Has anyone had this issue earlier? What am I doing wrong?
I am working on Panther (JRE 1.4.2). Any help will be most welcome.
Thanks.
