Our Japanese distributor, who handles localization of our software, has made a peculiar request. He doesn't like the way Java expresses "Cancel" in Japanese and would like us to change the string used in all dialogs:

(I pasted a picture of the characters he wants to change, in case the mailer strips it.)

Anybody know how to change the built-in strings used by JOptionPane, File Dialogs, etc.?
