Do the QTJ samples require J2SE 5.0, or do you have some other specific
reason for requiring it?
The simplest thing to do is wait for the next release of J2SE 5.0, which
will set J2SE 5.0 as the default JVM and compiler. Between now and then,
you could use the DP4 preview release:
<http://lists.apple.com/archives/java-dev/2006/Jan/msg00382.html>
However, you should ONLY install DP4 on a non-critical machine, or make a
backup before installing it. Otherwise you might be repeating this
question:
<http://lists.apple.com/archives/java-dev/2006/Jan/msg00397.html>
You could try this, too:
<http://wiki.java.net/bin/view/Mac/HowDoISwitchToJava15>
although I vaguely recall that those instructions don't always work, so I
also suggest searching the list archives for past posts about compiling for
J2SE 5.0 / 1.5 using Xcode:
<http://search.lists.apple.com>
If it were just a question of the shell command-line, see these URL's:
..for bash users:
<http://lists.apple.com/archives/java-dev/2005/Aug/msg00506.html>
<http://homepage.mac.com/shawnce/misc/java_functions_bashrc.txt>
..for csh users:
<http://lists.apple.com/archives/java-dev/2005/Aug/msg00516.html>
but Xcode and the shell are different animals.

p.s. Because all list postings are archived, you don't have to quote entire
postings, just a fragment to establish the context of a reply.
