Well...Ok . I downloaded the last version to take a look before answer
to Fabrizio and....
Surprise...Yes it runs well on my G4 Mac mini
...But the bigger the later...It fly on my brand new macbook....
I have to admit....Netbeans got much better in performance in the last times
And for web applications brings more features than Eclipse right now
This is the plus....The less...The look and feel....My dollar for the
one who help me to change the font size...
I think, Aqua itself dont fit well with complex ids...with lot of
buttons and controls....And for Swing must be hard to imitate.
I hate the netbeans mac button bars!!!
The Visual pack make the ide becoms some better and spend much more
memory..But even then,,,,With my macbook and 2 gigas of RAM still run
fast...
Netbeans 5.5 is some buggy....At least the visual pack
But the "automatic" integration between the JSF and the beans makes the
things go muuch easier....some like Microsoft Visual Studio.. You create
one web page and you get the backend bean for the page....Wich is the
natural choice...Is automatic...and is cool
Congratulations to the netbeans team...They seemed the loosers 2 years
ago and now they provide one toool that has you can compare with
Microsoft Visual Studio or....your favourite tool
Regards
