Thread-topic: Special accelerators keys don't work
User-agent: Microsoft-Entourage/11.3.3.061214
Hi,
Thank you for your answers about special accelerators keys.
It looks like there's no really satisfying solution. :(
I did my best to integrate Sweet Home 3D (available at
http://sweethome3d.sourceforge.net/fr/ ) in Mac OS X with Aqua look and
feel. As suggested in
http://developer.apple.com/documentation/Java/Conceptual/Java14Development/0
7-NativePlatformIntegration/NativePlatformIntegration.html#//apple_ref/doc/u
id/TP40001909, I used Mac OS X menu bar and its Application menu, added a
Window menu, disabled mnemonics, used AWT FileDialog and Window Modified
Indicator,... but miserably, I won't be able to use standard shorcuts like
cmd +, cmd -, or cmd ? cited in
http://developer.apple.com/documentation/UserExperience/Conceptual/OSXHIGuid
elines/XHIGKeyboardShortcuts/chapter_20_section_1.html#//apple_ref/doc/uid/T
P40002725-CHDIGFBH .
I'm quite astonished that Apple didn't complete its job about Java
integration in Mac OS X. For me, a project like "Quaqua Look And Feel"
(http://www.randelshofer.ch/quaqua/download.html ) should have never exist
and most of the features of Quaqua should be available in standard.
Why don't we have, among other things, the standard JFileChooser,
JColorChooser, JToolBar or popup menus in Mac OS X, even if it required to
set some client properties ? That remains a mystery to me...
Best regards
