GDB failing in JNI native library

Hello,

I'm trying to debug a JNI native library in XCode 3 using GDB and get the following error:

run
[Switching to process 21510 local thread 0x2f0b]
Running…
Program received signal:  “SIGTRAP”.
Xcode: Introspection dylib not loaded because thread 1 has function: __dyld__dyld_start on stack
Cannot access memory at address 0x4
Cannot access memory at address 0x4
(gdb)

The error can be reproduced by creating a new Java JNI project in XCode 3, then switching to GDB in the executable inspector and placing a breakpoint in the jnilib.c native function, then build and go.

Can anyone shed some light on this problem and/or point out a workaround so that I can debug in the c code?

Thank you in advance.
