Re: Open Source Java 6 Developer Preview Release

Now that there is finally a genuine open source Java for OS X (yay! thank you thank you thank you Landon!), I have a question for the Apple employees on this list: is there any possibility that Apple would consider donating source code to this effort? It will be a huge task to create a native AWT implementation, and Apple already has an implementation that would fill the need perfectly. If they could donate any part of it, that would be a great head start.
I know, the relevant decision makers probably don't read this list. But I don't know who the relevant decision makers are, and the usual answer (file a bug report) doesn't seem appropriate in this case. So if someone can tell us who to write to, we'll be glad to flood their inbox with requests for this, carefully explaining the business case for why Apple ought to do this.
