I had it working, but I've since upgraded to Leopard and also updated
my Eclipse, so I have to relay just what I remember doing, as follows:
1) Set Java 6 to be the active JVM in Preferences->Java->Installed JREs
2) Use Java Preferences (search on spotlight -- should be there) to
set Java 6 to be the active JVM on the system.
I can't remember if part 2 was necessary for Eclipse or not, but I think it was.
