In support of those goals, I see the following as the first-order
TODO list:
* Integration of Quaqua as an Aqua Look & Feel.
* Native AWT Swing (as opposed to X11).
* Sound support.
* Integration with the Mac OS X certificate store (x509).
* Implement any missing functionality.
WRT JavaSound, a while back someone created a Port Audio JavaSound
service provider. It was posted to this list:
This is Yong.
KuroSound was taken offline some time ago.
Hiya Yong!
KuroSound is a very basic Mixer SPI implementation with PortAudio
(http://www.portaudio.com), it requires Java Sound implementation
to work. I think Tritonus project (http://tritonus.org) can help a
lot in this respect.
Tritonus is GPL'ed, is it compatible with SoyLatte license?
SoyLatte + Tritonus + KuroSound sounds nice to me.
Tritonus isn't compatible with the JRL SoyLatte, but will be once
things move to the OpenJDK project.
However, the JRL release should be equipped with the Java Sound API,
so that should be fine.
Is KuroSound code still available?
This morning I ordered my first Soy Latte at my local coffee shop.
I was curious about it since I never tried it before.
It tasted good.
I'm a big fan -- they fuel my productivity =)
Thanks!
