Just a another, more pragmatic point-of-view on the java discussion:
If Apple supports Java on OSX well enough to eliminate any
more-than-a-few-minutes-porting-work for me, I support OSX - otherwise
not. OSX isn't an important target market for me, although of course a
nice-to-have, and of course as Linux user I am always interested in
supporting as many platforms as possible.
The project I am currently working on is Java6 based and will be
finished in about 3 months ... so Apple has to do some homework if
they would like to have it running ;)
