Re: Java SE 6 - Only Server VM?

From Flanagans Java in a Nutshell
'In Java 5.0, the intepreter automatically enters server mode if it detects it is running on server-class hardware (typically a computer with multiple CPUs'
so maybe the -client idea is a bit defunct.

My reason for anger is the lack of support for Intel32 bits and PPC.
Mine too. Thats simply not the way how to work with developers.
I guess its Steve going crazy just because he now sells so many apple boxes.

I guess he simply does not like java ... native OSX apps just attract
him much more ;)

For the
thing of -server only, it's not necessarily a bad thing.
It hurts responsiveness a lot. I wouldn't make this default until the
Tiered Compilers are out for OSX too.
