There are different tradeoffs on every platform.  I currently accept the
tradeoffs on Mac OS X.  If you don't, then that's your choice.  Your
priorities, your options, your choice.

I've made my choice, and I accept what it is, with its limitations.  This
does not mean I like every limitation.  All it means is that on the whole,
I can live with it.

If I change my mind, I'll sell the equipment that no longer suits my needs
and get something else.

Because different people prioritize different capabilities and features in
different ways.

This is also why everyone doesn't drive the same car, or why some people
don't drive cars at all.  That fact seems unsurprising, even obvious, so
why should the same approach to choosing computers or other equipment be
such a surprise?
