| I believe Netbeans 6.1 requires use of JDK 5 for operation. It appears your system java default might be set to JDK 6. Perhaps this setting changed recently. I'm running 6.1 successfully with JDK 5 as the system default. You can still target JDK 6 in Netbeans projects but I believe you'll need to run the IDE using JDK 5.
