Re: Netbeans 6.1/6.5 no longer will start

Scott mentioned that he has been successfully using JDK 6 with Netbeans 6.1 and now successfully with the prerelease 6.5 nightly builds of Netbeans. I recall seeing a similar problem with 6.1 on my system after trying JDK 6. I reverted back to JDK 5 and have been running successfully since then. Last night I tried moving to JDK 6 again for Netbeans and it came up successfully this time for me as well.

There was a similar thread discussing a segmentation fault during startup on nabble.com.

Perhaps some of the details here might be of help.

I was using 1.5. It failed to start, so I changed it to use 1.6. It still did not start.

I'm not sure what Scott Palmer was trying to send...
