As might be expected, that URL works fine for me (Mac Pro c.2007,
10.5.1), as does every other JWS app I've tried (modulo the J2SE6
issue).
Try downloading the JNLP to your disk, and drag-and-drop the file
onto the JWS app icon (/Applications/Utilities/Java/Java Web
Start.app IIRC), and see if that makes a difference. This test will
remove the possibility of the web browser handing the JNLP off to
the wrong app.
Do you have a 10.4 partition mounted? In 10.4 there were two JWS
apps installed by Apple, /Applications/Utilities/Java/Java Web
Start.app (from Java 1.4), and /Applications/Utilities/Java/J2SE5/
Java Cache Launcher.app (or some such, I do not have a 10.4 system
handy to check). 10.5 only has Java Web Start.app. If your web
browser has been set to to use the J2SE5 launcher, which does not
exist on the Leopard partition, it could be trying to run the app
off of a 10.4 partition. I'd expect Safari to get it right, but I'm
running Firefox, and had some odd behaviour in this regard when I
switched to Leopard (but I had no 10.4 partition mounted, so I got
no-such-app errors from Firefox).
