Re: Will Java SE6 have 32-bit version?

we can only hope. Technically we not really meant to discuss such none technical issues, but hell I don't care.

Apple have stated before that there will be no PPC64 Java 6 vm, but I can't see them not supporting 32-bit Intel. What worries me is whether or not the Apple Java team will be given the resources in order to ship the Java 6 VM anytime soon.

Your options are limited:

- just keep waiting (boring)
- install soylatte (not quite 100% ready, but v.impressive)
- buy a new mac (expensive)
- install linux (not really the point of owning a mac )

Current Java SE6 preview is only available for Intel 64-bit machine.
Will Java SE6 official release have 32-bit version? That is, we can call our 32-bit C/C++ application codes by JNI from Java. But if only 64-bit is available, we must switch our application codes from 32-bit to 64-bit.
