My app (developed in Java specifically so I can support Macs as well as Windows) is being more-or-less blocked by a persistent bug Apple has had in Java Audio since 1.4.0. I submitted a bug report in May 2006 which was promptly closed with "This is fixed in Java 6". That was 20 months ago. Since then I've watched Java 6 get delayed further and further, and Java 6 support get sequentially dropped for Tiger, PPC, and now (probably) even 32-bit Intel machines. The fraction of the (already small) Mac userbase I can support just keeps shrinking -- assuming J6 is ever released at all. I'm beginning to understand why so many developers only support Windows.
