Can you provide some good pointers to references on JNI? I have multiple issues in my app for which JNI might be useful as a workaround, but whenever I think about learning it as a solution, I can't find any current references or tutorials, and plenty of articles/comments that say "for god sake don't use JNI if you have any other option - it's the most horrific nightmare to learn and support".


...which kind of tends to turn me off of the idea.
