I think that just means the process was terminated by signal 11 (SIGSEGV): 128 + 11 = 139

I don't know whether anyone's noticed or not, but the crashing NetBeans is running under the 64-bit Java 5. One of the commenters who says "Cannot reproduce" is running on 32-bit (i386) Java 5. Might be worth changing that in NB's startup script to see if it launches.
