Thanks for your response. Actually, I'm not trying to run NetBeans in 64-bit
mode. The question was whether it was so running and whether that was
causing a problem with launching it from the Finder on mine (and a few
others) machines. From Greg Guerin's observations it seems like it is
(although nothing in the application seems to be explicitly telling it to).
The question then (as yet unanswered) is: would it work correctly if forced
to run in 32-bit mode?
