I've seen that the application that I spend most of my time using,
IntelliJ IDEA (8.1.2, just upgraded to 8.1.3 in the hope that it
would help, but no luck) is now crashing several times a day (3
times so far today) after the latest Java update. This is extremely
frustrating... I just spoke to JetBrains support, and they told me
there was nothing they could do to fix or work around these issues
(always seems to be the EDT deep down in some Apple painting or
native code, or the AppKit thread that crashes).
Can we expect Apple to fix this any time soon?
Is there anything I can do to get the old Java version back?
For what it's worth my colleagues and I have been using this update
4/IDEA 8.1.2-3 for a few days with no problems -- we're using Java
1.5, not 1.6, on Leopard.
Well, what can I say.. Lucky you. :-/
I'm using Java 1.5 for IntelliJ IDEA of course, but I'm mainly
developing/compiling in Java 6, if that makes any difference.
Any good suggestions would be welcome.
Best regards,
