I'll file a bug report. All I want is the colors/gradient though,
so that they could be changed whenever the OS X color scheme
changes. I'm aware that I have to create the component myself.
Your assuming the next style will be a simple gradient. It wasn't so
long ago title bars were implemented as a pinstripe texture.
Not really assuming that, but you are of course right. In my previous
mail, I mentioned exposing this as a "background painter" (a
BorderUIResource) like you do for source lists and odd/even table
rows. As far as I can understand, that would work regardless of color/
texture etc.
If only it wasn't for the problem with "apple.awt.brushMetalLook"
not working for Java 6... I was hoping it would be fixed in the
latest update. Will you fix it faster if I file more bug reports on
that? ;-)
The issue is that "textured" windows are broken for all 64-bit
processes on Leopard, not just Java. As it stands, I wouldn't be the
one making the fix. :-)
