How are they monopolistic? Controlling their products the way they are is not monopolistic. Now if they control the market and you had no other choice then sure but you just admitted you had options. Lots of competition is springing up. Some more open than Apple. That may help the competition, we'll see. But until you have no other choice then they are far from monopolistic.

Closed platforms != monopoly. Unless it's the only platform.
