I read my java-pdfs on my iPod, so I don't see the irony here. The point – if any – is obviously to *read* and view the course on the iPad and do the actual Java on a Java-equipped machine. In a university setting that may not be on your personal machine. Computerlab? (According to Oracles FAQ the course materials is available in pdf-form).Wow. Oracle is offering Oracle University eKits for Java development, on the iPad. I find this a little ironic, seeing as how you can't actually run Java on an iPad! I wonder if there's a Flash training course as well?? :)
