For those on this list unaware of it Henri is responsible for the builds mentioned by William Moore Some Snow Leopard versions of OpenJDK are available here: http://code.google.com/p/openjdk-osx-build/ The ones you have there are current enough for me. I've been using one just about daily for some time now at Snow Leopard. Maybe not the most current but it works for what I do with it. Again there is no real difference though for Snow Leopard builds is there? Planning on long-term deploying openjdk to Snow Leopard when it isn't officially supported might a concern to some though I'd imagine when deployment becomes more a concern. I'd assume one thought here might be that Apple supports 10.6? Thanks again for correcting me. Keeping on things is difficult for me while somewhat following what is going on in openjdk. Roles of people in the project including Oracle's sort of ownership I think I still have yet to come close to understanding. So occasional changes in things like official support of releases are appreciated by me. Posting the information here would I think be appreciated by members of this list who are involved in Java but may even follow the macosx-port project less than I do. Simply checking the wiki as pointed out is of course a good idea and I will try to remember to do so before answering anything related to the openjdk project again Try, I am not always as diligent on that as I should be. |
