How do I get it out of Maya? Other than MayaAscii (Vomit)?

I'm currently working on adding skeletal models to my game, and I found this resource to be most helpful: http://www.gamedev.net/reference/articles/article417.asp Especially the section on hierarchical transformations, which is what you want to be doing in this case.

Unless, of course, you want to use Quaternions to do your transformations and rotations, in which case I can't help, because I know nothing of how they work. :)

Also, I've written a program that converts .smd files (as can be exported from 3dsm and Maya with Half-Life's SMD exporter) into my model format, which makes things a whole lot simpler in the long run. :)

If you (or anyone else) needs any help with any part of developing a skeletal model format, I'd be glad to be of assistance, if I can.

Good luck,

Any resources for making skeletal models? Like models, that have skeletons in them, and that is what mutates their form?
