Re: 10.2 vs. 10.1.5

I probably don't have any solution, but 10.2 certainly does to seem to have its share of incompatibilities with 10.1. I've already seen several programs, mostly those which are UNIX-based that don't work now because of some under-lying reworking Apple made to the OS.

Is your program getting mad about something dealing with the tolower() C function? Or is it something else. If it is dealing with tolower(), perhaps checking the manual page (man tolower) might give some clues...then again, maybe it won't.

Has anyone seen this?

I built my app under 10.2 (using CW, but with BSD headers) and it works
fine. However, on 10.1.5 a user and other users are getting:

dyld: /Users/dave/Documents/testapp/testapp.app/Contents/MacOS/Target Korea
Debug
Undefined symbols:
/Users/dave/Documents/testapp/testapp.app/Contents/MacOS/Target Korea Debug
undefined reference to
___tolower expected to be defined in /usr/lib/libSystem.B.dylib

Anyone seen this problem or have suggestions on a solution?
