This is true, however, here is a point from the ld man page:

-prebind_allow_overlap

This is insane! If it's possible to do this, WHY ISN'T IT THE DEFAULT?

Why should developers have to spend all sorts of time chasing all over hell and gone and paging through supposedly obsolete and always vague documentation to figure out how to build a simple shared library, when it's downright trivial to do on pretty much any other platform on the planet including both the classic Mac OS and other Unix variants?

Apple: Mach-O is broken. Fix it, or dump it. No matter which you choose, at the very least document it thoroughly, completely, and in ONE PLACE.
