Yes. The hosting has gone through some bumps since Loki went Chapter
7 but they are mostly ironed out. See http://www.openal.org for more
information.

Creative tends to submit large updates less frequently. The linux
implementation (which, as I've pointed out before, supports osx) has
smaller, more frequent updates.
