We're thinking about it. A software emulator is obviously useful for some people to experiment with, but would be to slow to be useful for an interactive application. The priority to provide fragment program emulation in software is a distant second to exposing features of current and future hardware.

What about the software OpenGL context? Any plans for fragment program emulation in software?
