I got this bug report for Links and I wonder if anyone else has seen
anything like this:
I have another bug that you guys might want to take a look at. In 10.2.3,
with nVidia hardware, I get what looks like a very low-level error message
(off-white screen with a gray shadowed image of the power button in the
background) that says, "You need to restart your computer. Hold down the
Power Button for several seconds or press the Restart Button." There's a
hex address and the machine's IP address below this. It only happens in
1024*768/32bit mode, with nVidia cards. ATI's don't display the problem,
and all works fine in every other available resolution above and below the
problem resolution.
I don't yet have a machine running 10.2.3 so I can't test this here, but it
sounds like the new kernal panic dialog is being hit. if they had sent me
the hex address, this might be easier...
