RE: Problem remotely displaying OpenGL app from a Sun machine

I have been able to separately build native vtk apps on the mac. What I need though for this application is to be able to remotely display from Sun. For this, the mac only needs to be able to display GLX calls given by the sun.

Just a guess but I would assume you need VTK support on the Mac. VTK is available for the Mac.

I am developing an X application which runs on a Sun server and remotely displays on a Mac using apple's XFree86. Everything worked fine until a 3d component was added (using VTK). Everything works great on a Sun desktop (local or remote) but the application will crash when it attempts to open the 3d window on an OSX desktop.
Here is the message it fails with:
X Error of failed request: GLXUnsupportedPrivateRequest
Major opcode of failed request: 152 (GLX)
Minor opcode of failed request: 17 (X_GLXVendorPrivateWithReply)
Serial number of failed request: 900
Current serial number in output stream: 900
Any help with this problem will be greatly appreciated!
