Re: Screenshot of a window containing an NSOpenGLView

It depends on the system you're running. I've had problems with capturing openGL windows before, and I think that was a bug with Panther. I'm not sure about anything else.

Hi guys (and girls, if any of you are lurking out there :)),

Why is it not possible to take a screenshot of a window containing an
NSOpenGLView?

Take for instance the /Developer/Examples/OpenGL/Cocoa/CocoaGL/
example... start Grab, select "Capture - Window" - the result is a
window with the area covered by the OpenGL view being completely
empty. Use Capture - Selection - no problem, everything works fine,
you get the content of the GLview. (Same behaviour with
Command-Shift-4.)

Can somebody explain to me what is going on here, and if there is a
way to work around that problem?

Cheers, kyrah

What's wrong with using Shift-Command-4. Five minutes ago, I just captured 4 windows of NSOpenGL View.
