New Radeon updates.

I practically fell off my chair with the new ROM updates recently released for the Radeon cards - my machine fully survives the ring-of-steel GL tests with ne'er a sight of a kernel panic / freeze. At last, I can code without that apprehension!
So I doff my hat to the ATI folks; and from what I've read on other forums, more users are happier too :o)

This brings me to a question - I've been eyeing the 9200 for the beefier OpenGL functions it supports and have been watching closely reports from current users about the display artifacts - being in the UK (the 9200's not readily available here yet), I want to avoid the hassle of returning the cards if this is a hardware problem (my guess it could be the video PLL's not set up correctly from the look of the screenshots). Any comments of what it could be (even off-list) and if there is already a solution?

Regards, Jose.
