I managed to duplicate a driver bug (on nvidia cards at least) where if I enable GL_SGIS_generate_mipmap and use GL_ARB_texture_compression at the same time when creating a texture, my app crashes. Sometimes it displays garbage textures instead of crashing.

I'd submitted a bug about SGIS_generate_mipmap crashing our 6800 the other day, as #4038546, but wasn't able to reproduce it in a simple test. The texture compression link explains that :)

Now, if only duplicate bugs' status was something more useful than "duplicate" :/ (yes, I have raised this several times with developer relations, before people start ranting, but it hasn't helped so far).
