I don't believe the G5 is the problem, since I mentioned in the email
that it behaves identically on my iBook G4, and I tested it with my
Power Mac G4 (733Mhz) with same results, so some basic setting is not
right, or the GLUT.framework is not right, or Mac OS X OpenGL
performance is way beyond XP's :)
Anyone else have an idea?
Thanks,
Kevin

Hello,
I am new to OpenGL and GLUT and successfully compiled a small GLUT
example from
http://www.cosc.brocku.ca/Offerings/3P98/course/MSVC/msvcnetglut.html
on my Power Mac G5. However, it runs extremely fast compared to the
exact same code that runs on my PC (Windows XP).
Is there a specific reason as to why this is happening? It also
happens on my iBook G4. Hardware acceleration??
Thanks,
Kevin
