Floating point textures on NV30?

Hi,

I noticed (as have others) that there is a lack of floating point texture/buffer support in the drivers for the GeForce 5200 up until 10.3.9.

From http://homepage.mac.com/arekkusu/bugs/GLInfo.html I take it that APPLE_float_pixels *is* in fact supported on the 5200 FX in Tiger. I haven't gotten a copy of Tiger yet, so if someone could confirm this for me I'd appreciate it greatly. It doesn't surprise me that Tiger has these extensions, since I would assume Core Image (if rendered on the GPU) would require them at least in some cases.

Is there any chance support for floating point textures will be added to Panther OpenGL drivers for the 5200? FP textures are crucial in a lot of what I do, and I know the hardware supports them.

Thanks,

Stefanus
