| When I introduce an extra clipping plane, I expect clipped polygons to be reconstructed so that I see a closed clipped polygon. The OpenGL Programming Guide clearly states, "polygons that get clipped automatically have their edges reconstructed appropriately by OpenGL." But my polygons just get chopped. They are left open. No "reconstructed" edges. I'm sure (some time ago) with Mesa, I got a fully closed polygon with an extra reconstructed side. What I actually want is a thin polygon that remains when I have two back-to-back clipping planes. Used to work. Actually, my polygons are GL_QUADS. Has something changed in the OpenGL standard? Or is it a "feature" of Mac OS X OpenGL? I'm on Mac OS X 10.4.7. Regards, John Allison |
