Can anyone from Apple, give an update on this situation? Is there any
hardware/OS version Mac's now that will allow hardware accelerated
FBO's with both depth and stencil buffers?
This works fine on NVidia/Intel from 10.4.8, and ATI/Intel from
10.4.9. You need to use the EXT_packed_depth_stencil extension.
