I find the article confusing. In the table it says X3100 is SM4.0, but
the text above says that X3500 is SM4.0, while X3100 is a mobile
version of X3000, which is definitely a SM3.0 card.
Either way, it's hard to tell until someone actually implements a
working driver :)
