Re: OpenGL and Obj-C Garbage Collection, performance issues?

I have been unable to use OpenGL Profiler on a project that has Garbage Collection enabled. I emailed this list about the issue but have received no response from anyone on the list or apple.

If you use opengl profiler or think you will need it, I would stay away from the GC feature right now.

Hi all,

I was reading this:
index.html>

which says "The Core Graphics APIs (Quartz 2D) see an approximately 25%
reduction in drawing performance for applications compiled to use
garbage collection".

I was wondering: are there any performance issues with OpenGL and GC?
Is it unwise for an app that heavily uses OpenGL to adopt GC?

Thanks,
