I've been building an app using a custom opengl class derived from the
one provided by Apple as sample : (http://developer.apple.com/samplecode/Custom_Cocoa_OpenGL/index.html
). However, if you use this view inside a split view, then "glitches"
appear as the separator is moved to resize the views. To reproduce
this behavior, use the template project as provide by Apple at the
adress above. A minor compile error is easily fixed, then open the nib
file file, duplicate the custom opengl view and embed them in a
horizontal split view (vertical separator).
Launch the demo and move the separator in a reasonably fast way from
left to right. Glitches can be seen near the separator as the left
view needs to be refreshed. This behavior does not show when resizing
the window.
I have it too in my application.
I have an iMac Intel Core 2 Duo 2.16GHz with an ATI X1600, Leopard
10.5.2.
Whereas this behavior does not really stop the application from
working, I found it to be a bit annoying and to be honest quite
unmacish. Does anyone know why it is so and if there is a workaround ?
Besides, it may be opengl driver specific (bug or video behavior)
Thanks for advice or comments.
François
