It's some sort of unexpected compiler error at the driver level.
The best way to track this down is the extract your GLSL program and
place it in the OpenGL Shader Builder application that comes with the
OSX Developer Tools. If you get the error there, the you should file
a bug report with that shader at http://bugreport.apple.com.
Also, you can try taking bits and pieces out of the program until you
narrow down exactly which function or series of functions is causing
the error.
Good luck!

Hello,
I just received a new MacBook Pro with the NVIDIA 9400M/9600M GT
combo. My GLSL shader code, which has been running well on Windows,
Linux, and an OS X Intel MBP (couple revs ago) implementations is
giving me the following error on the new MBP:
(0) : fatal error C9999: unable to generate code, no legal types for
program.
Cg compiler terminated due to fatal error
I've never seen this before and other than the post (OpenGL shader
regression in 10.5.5) from Sept. 16, I'm having difficulty finding
out about what this exactly means.
Any tips on what to look for to get this corrected (or filed as bug)?
Many thanks.
Pete
