Installing a second server

G'day to all, not a problem question just asking for some advice. I've just ordered a new G4 server for my school which will compliment our B/W G3 server. I intend on using the G3 as a log in server and the G4 as a documents server. What I would like to know is wheather I would be better off having my G3 or my G4 server serving out my disk images? Also do I need to install the Mac Mgr extension on the G4 as it is only a documents server.
