Students seeing other user's files

I need a simple ?:) yes or no answer before I go any further in trying to
get something to "work."

In a restricted finder environment, with the documents being stored on
another volume than the Mac Manager Server (actually on a different
partition of the same computer), should a student be able to see other
student's files? - not change them, but see them? When a student logs on
the volume that contains all student user documents is mounted. Thus the
student can see and open any files of other students - though it does give
them the warning that they can't save changes.

Simple :) yes or no - should they be able to see and open other student's
files?
