concurrent login

I have read that there should only be one concurrent log in per user to MM. How do you deal with the Library Card Catalog. I had a library user. The media people would use this user to log in at 10 computers at a time to use the electronic card catalog workgroup. Or the Young five class would come to the lab and all log in using their room number. What corruption can this cause and what are ways to work around it? Or have I misunderstood the concurrent login piece?
