MM - manual backup

I've resorted to manual backup of MM lately because the server freezes every
time (last 4 days). Today while manually backing up the server another
freeze while looking for files that can't be found.

The most recent change to the MM server was to FileBlast (thanks Stewart!)
Internet Search Sites to each user's folder. As of 5 days ago the total
number of all files has literally doubled. We have had less than average
computer use because of mid-term testing. So users aren't generating a lot
of new files. When backing up there are numerous files that can not be
found. I sat around pushing return a lot today (most are preferences, some
documents).

Also, I'm noticing large numbers of active users appearing in the control
strip counter during the school day. More users then stations available.
When I click on it, say 200, it drops to 20 immediately. It seems that
users logging out are not being recognized by MM. Various stations around
school begin to freeze. Restarting the server helps for a couple of days. I
have verified users and groups- all OK. ASIP First Aid- all OK as well.

Any thoughts?
